Rose Cottage

The Rufus M. Rose House is a historic late-Victorian residence located on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia. Built in 1901 in the elegant Queen Anne style, this red-brick mansion was constructed for Dr. Rufus Mathewson Rose, a prominent local businessman. It is one of the oldest surviving houses in central Atlanta and reflects the city’s architectural heritage amid modern development. Over the years, it has served as a private home, a museum, and a preservation landmark. Today it is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places and is undergoing restoration to preserve its historic character.
