A full-service design-build firm founded in 2005. Its founder began his career as a recording engineer in Santa Monica, California, passionate about crafting experiences that moved people. But as the music industry shifted from analog to digital, so did his path. While renovating his home with his wife and expecting their second child, they found themselves repeatedly let down by contractors. With little money and no choice but to move forward, it was, as he put it, time to “get busy working.”

What began as a necessity quickly became a calling. Coming from a family of contractors and familiar with all phases of construction, he discovered that designing and building homes held the same spirit as making music—collaborative, emotive, and deeply rewarding. “There’s something powerful about seeing a drawing come to life, knowing it will bring joy and connection. Homes are more than shelter; they reflect what we value.”

Since then, the team has completed over 400 projects across California, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Their work has been featured in national design publications and on HGTV as both contractors and designers.

The firm began under one roof and still operates that way today—hands-on and family-first. At its core, this is a company that believes in more than just good design. It believes in building with care—creating homes that feel lived in, loved, and lasting. From concept to completion, every project is approached as if it were their own. Though the work has expanded, the heart of the business remains unchanged: a trusted team of family and tradespeople dedicated to partnering with clients to make beautiful homes.

Having lived in Southern California for decades, the team is well-versed in the challenges of rebuilding homes lost to wildfires. They understand that the journey ahead can feel overwhelming. It’s an emotional rollercoaster, without question—but it’s not one clients have to face alone. They believe that while tragedy is painful, it can also be transformative. -Thoughtful and Resilient design

Five homes designed and built by our team, located within burn zones, were unaffected during the recent Palisades and Altadena fires. These homes were constructed with no exposed eaves and featured 1/8” high fire-hazard mesh on all exterior penetrations to prevent damage in wildfire-prone regions.
