New Chapter for a Craftsman Classic

We are preparing to build a new Craftsman-style home in Altadena and are looking for a licensed, detail-oriented builder who understands the traditional proportions, trim details, and craftsmanship that define this style. We have our structural plans available, which include a thoughtfully designed two-story main home, a finished basement level, and a complete ADU as part of the overall project.

The exterior follows a classic Craftsman profile with deep eaves, strong horizontal lines, balanced window groupings, and clean trim work. Inside, the layout maintains the open flow and warm character we love about Craftsman homes. We plan to install hardwood flooring throughout the entire first floor of the main house, so we are looking for a builder who is experienced with high-quality hardwood installation, subfloor prep, and moisture protection.

The basement level includes conditioned spaces, storage areas, and mechanical zones, so experience with basement construction, especially waterproofing and drainage systems, is important to us.

We’re looking for a contractor who can confidently manage:

* Craftsman-style detailing, trim, exterior finishes, and clean interior lines

* Full basement construction with proper waterproofing and drainage

* Hardwood flooring installation throughout the main level

* Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination through two levels

* Clear communication, transparent pricing, and consistent workmanship

We are seeking competitive bids from builders with proven experience in Craftsman-style homes. If this project aligns with your skill set, we would love to review your proposal.
